Hale Lalala (Hawaiian for "House for Sun Basking") is a large, sunny, modern vacation home located just two blocks from the ocean along the pristine Puna Coast, in a lush, quiet area known as Kaimu-Kalapana on the east side of the Big Island of Hawai`i. Your doorstep is an easy 45-minute drive from Hilo International Airport.
The soothing sounds of the surf can be heard from every room in the house, and there are partial ocean views from the large sunning/dining deck just off the kitchen. This comfortable two-story home comes equipped with everything you or your group will need to make your Hawai`i vacation fun and easy.
Downstairs there is a full bathroom, including a unique outdoor shower created from natural lava stones. There are also a clothes washer and a dryer for your use during your stay.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms with double, queen and king beds, as well as a comfortable pull-out sofa beds in the living room and den. There are two more full bathrooms, one with a tub/shower and one with a stall shower. One of the bedrooms also has its own sink.
The large kitchen has its own separate dining area and a built-in desk for telephone use (comes with an answering machine) and Internet access (bring your laptop computer), plus the following amenities:
The large deck just off the kitchen has a table with market umbrella that seats four, along with a barbeque grill, several deck lounge chairs and big patio chairs. A four-foot deck runs the entire length of the home, with a cafe table and chairs outside the den door, and a seat-hammock.
The large open-beam living room/dining room has a variety of comfortable couches, including a cozy reading corner next to the window. The main dining table easily seats six, with room to expand.

From your deck, you can pick fresh oranges and lemons from our trees. There are also several varieties of avocado, papaya, bananas, coconut, mango, grapefruit and other citrus trees on our adjoining properties for you to enjoy, in season.
